The Bail screen is used to view and/or record bail information on all the legal documents associated with an offender.
Use this screen to track bail against each charge related to an order. The Bail amount of an order is the total bail amount of all of the charges related to that order.
To access Bail screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Legal Orders Bail
OR
To access from the Legal Cases screen, click the Bail button in the Orders block.
Query the Header block to locate the offender record.
Click Next Block to move to the Orders block. The information viewed here is also carried over from the Legal Cases screen; all fields can be queried, but not updated.

Sureties/Conditions Checkbox : displays a checkmark if data is entered in the Sureties and Conditions window.
Click Next Block to complete the Bail Details block. Here you can view or enter amounts and other specifics:
Date: Optional. Enter the date on which the bail order is issued.
Bail Type: Mandatory. Select a conditions of bail from the List of Values (LOV).
Amount: Optional. Enter the bail amount.
Bail Action: Optional. Select a decision on the condition of bail from the LOV.
Date Posted: Optional. Enter the date bail is posted.
Comment: Optional. Type additional information here.
Appeal Flag: Optional. A checked box indicates the offender has the ability to appeal. A cleared box indicates he/she cannot.
Status: system - and user - entered.
Click Next Block to continue to the Charges block. The following information is also carried over from the Legal Cases screen, and everything except for the Confirm Checkbox is display only.
Cf (Confirm) Checkbox : accessible only if Appeal checkbox in previous block checked; check to attach Appeal Bail to particular Charges.
