Breaching bail requires that the offender be re-admitted to your facility. You must review the legal document to determine the Info number and charges, compare that with the offender's record on the Order Inquiry screen:
If there is a match, update the Bail/Bond screen. The system will reactivate the order based on the changing of the Status from posted to breached.
If there is not a match, enter the order and bail information as new.
If you are breaching existing bail information, the following instructions apply:
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Legal orders Bail.
Click Next Block to access the Orders block.
Click Enter to access the Status field and press List of Values.
Complete the Apply Bail block. (Click Insert Record or arrow down to get to a blank field.)
Date: defaults to current date.
Status: List of Values available. Select B (Breached).
Comment: Optional free-form text entry.
Once all necessary information has been entered, Click Save. This reactivates the bail and changes the order status to Active.
