In the Orders block, you record specific events, such as an arrest, holding document, court hearing, court conviction or probation action, for the case selected in the Cases block.
From the Cases block on the Legal Cases screen, click Next Block to move to the Orders block.
Fill in the following fields:
Issue Date: type in the date the order was issue using a MM\DD\YYYY format; mandatory.
Time: type in the time the order was issued using an HH:MM format; optional.
Type: select an order type from the List of Values; mandatory.
Subtype: select an order subtype from the List of Values; mandatory.
Date Rec'd: enter the date the order was received; optional.
Term'n Date: this field may fill automatically if the selected order type has been set up to have a time period. If no time period has been specified, you can enter the termination date for the order.
Agency Location: select a location from the List of Values; mandatory.
Court Room: select a court room from the List of Values; optional.
Judge: fill in the name of the presiding judge; optional.
C[om]m[en]t: type in a comment; optional.
Status: select from the List of Values; mandatory. Defaults to Active. The system may also change the status under certain conditions.
Req[uires] Rep[ort]: automatically checked if the selected report sub-type defaults to require a report.
Copy: select this box if you want the record to be copied to a new line when you save; optional. The copied record can be updated to create a new record. (This makes entering repeated examples of the same kind of order for the same offender faster and easier.) Charges attached to the record will be copied whether you use the Copy box or simply enter a new order under the same case.
Click Arrest Details to open a pop-up window where you can add detailed information about an arrest; optional.
Click Bail to open the Bail screen, where you can enter details of the bail allowed on the selected order type.
Click Inst. Schedules to open the Appearance Order screen, where you can record a future appearance order related to the institutional case you are recording.
Click Comm. Schedules to open the community Event Scheduler screen, where you can enter scheduled events related to the community case you are recording.
Click Save.
Click Next Block to access the Charges block.
