Recording Discipline Placement

You can record a discipline placement assignment with the Discipline Placement screen.

The Discipline Placement screen is the primary forum for entering details involving offenses in custody punishment (typically administrative segregation). For this reason, OIC Hearings and OIC Appeals buttons are provided so you can easily obtain penalty information useful for filling out this screen.

Depending on the TAG setup your facility has, the review date in the Discipline Placement screen can automatically initiate a request on the Requests screen, for a discipline placement review.

  1. To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Classification Care in placement.

  2. If necessary, query in the Header block to locate the offender. When the offender is located, the Offender Care in Placement block displays all active discipline placement assignments this offender has.

  3. Click Next Block to access the Offender Care In Placement block. If necessary, bring up a blank record by clicking Insert (or scrolling to the end of the list with the arrow keys).

  4.  Fill in these fields:

At this point, you may need to access either the OIC Hearings button or OIC Appeals button for information. If there is information on either the Offense in Custody Hearings or Appeals screen, the button will be enabled; otherwise the button is "greyed out" and cannot be used.

  1. Click Save. The Status field now reads Active, and the Verified field reads N[o]. Once an offender has an active assignment, it will automatically display whenever you call up this offender's record on this screen.
