Substance testing is a condition that a judge can apply against an order. This condition is recorded in TAG by checking the Substance Test Condition checkbox in the Conditions window off the Orders screen.
Use the Substance Testing screen to view orders with substance testing conditions, and to record substance testing appointments and test results.
The Substance Testing screen is linked to three screens: the Event Scheduler screen, the Case Notes screen, and the Substance Abuse screen.
Event Scheduler screen: when an appointment for offender substance testing is made on the Substance Testing screen, the appointment automatically appears as an event on the Event Scheduler screen. When you record an appointment for substance testing as an event on the Event Scheduler screen, the appointment automatically appears on the Substance Testing screen.
Case Notes screen: if you record a substance test result that is positive on the Substance Testing screen, then a case note with a violation warning automatically appears on the Case Notes screen.
Substance Abuse screen: if a substance not previously recorded on the Substance Abuse screen is found in a positive test and recorded on the Substance Testing screen, then a line will automatically appear in the Substance Abuse screen's Alcohol/Drug Use block listing the substance.
