Substance Testing

Substance testing is a condition that a judge can apply against an order. This condition is recorded in TAG by checking the Substance Test Condition checkbox in the Conditions window off the Orders screen.

Use the Substance Testing screen to view orders with substance testing conditions, and to record substance testing appointments and test results.

The Substance Testing screen is linked to three screens: the Event Scheduler screen, the Case Notes screen, and the Substance Abuse screen.

  1. For institutional work: select Institution Incidents Substance Testing to access this screen from the Main Menu.

For community work: select Community Case Management Substance Testing from the Main Menu.

  1. If necessary, query in the Header block to locate the offender.

  2. The Substance Testing block automatically displays orders for the offender that have the Substance Test Condition checkbox checked (in the Conditions window off the Orders screen).

  3. Click the Type or Code field to select an order. The Sample block displays any samples taken in connection with the selected order.

  4. Click Next Block to access the Sample block.

  5. To record the taking of a sample for the selected order, complete the following fields in the Sample block.

  1. Click Next Block to access the Tested block.
