Identifier (Number) Searches

You can use the Identifier Search screen to locate offender records for institutional or community TAG work. Use the Identifier Search screen to locate offender records by using numbers such as driver’s license, date of birth, birth certificate or social security number. (The types of numbers available are set by your TAG application administrator.)

  1. To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Search/assign Id# search.

  2. In the Type field, select the number you want to search on (such as driver’s license); List of Values available.

  3. In the Number field, type in the number you want to search on.

  4. Click Find (Query). All offender records that match the number display in the Query Results block.

  5. If a name in the Query Results block looks like it may be the offender you are booking or intaking, click the name, then click the List of Values. This brings up the Exact Search screen, with the selected name in the Surname field.

  6. If you cannot find the correct offender record, you may want to try another search. Click Quit/Exit to leave this screen.

  7. To create a new offender record, go to the Assign Offender Number screen.
