To schedule a transfer within your jurisdiction, you use the Schedule Transfer Within Jurisdiction screen.
If you have all of the information required to schedule a transfer, and the transfer does not need approval, then you fill out the Offender Schedules block and save, to schedule your transfer.
If the offender transfer date/time is not yet determined, and/or the transfer needs an approval, then you put the offender transfer on a waiting list (by filling in the Waiting List block). Later, you can fill in the transfer date and time, and/or record approval, to schedule the transfer.
If a scheduled transfer or transfer on the waiting list is canceled, you can record the cancellation, and cancellation reason in the Waiting List block on this screen.
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Schedules Transfers Within Jurisdiction.
If necessary, query in the Header block to locate the offender record.
Click in the Offender Schedules block, and scroll to a blank record with the down arrow key (or click on Insert).
Fill in the Offender Schedules block. If you have all of the information required for this block, and the transfer does not need approval, then fill in this block and save. Your transfer will be scheduled.
All of the fields except the transfer (Schedule) Date and Time fields must be filled in, or TAG will not let you save. If you do not know the (Schedule) Date and Time, or if the transfer needs approval, then fill in what you can in this block, and put the transfer on a waiting list until the transfer is confirmed. You put the transfer on a waiting list by filling in the Waiting List block. Click on the topic listed at the end of these instructions regarding the Waiting List block.
(Schedule) Date: enter the date the transfer is to take place using a MM\DD\YYYY format.
If the transfer date has not been determined, leave this field blank. You need to put the offender transfer on the waiting list (by filling in the Waiting List block) until you know the transfer date/time. Click on the topic listed at the end of these instructions regarding the Waiting List block.
Time: type in the time that the transfer will take place; HH:MM format (24 hour clock). This field can only be filled in if the date field is filled in.
To Location: select from a List of Values the place you are transferring the offender to.
Reason: select from a List of Values the transfer reason.
Escort: select from a List of Values the party who is escorting the offender.
Act(ive) checkbox: TAG automatically checks this box after you save, unless the date and time fields are blank, or the offender transfer is on the waiting list. If the offender transfer is on the waiting list, TAG automatically unchecks the box. When the transfer on the waiting list is completed so it has a confirmed status, and the file is saved, then TAG automatically checks this box to make the transfer "active." Only "active" transfers are scheduled.
C1 (Comment 1): type in a comment relating to the transfer; optional. This comment will display in a printed report.
C2 (Comment 2): type in a comment regarding the transfer; optional. This comment will not display in a printed report.
If all of your information is complete in this block, and you do not need to put the transfer on the waiting list for approval, click Save.
If your information is incomplete in this block, and/or you need to put the transfer on the waiting list for approval, click Next Block to move to the Waiting List block. Learn about the Waiting List block by clicking on the topic listed at the end of these instructions.
Once a state transfer has been scheduled, the record appears on the Schedule Inquiry screen. The schedule will also appear on the Scheduled External Movements screen on the date of the transfer. You use the Scheduled External Movements screen to record the offender movement, changing the offender’s status to Inactive-Trn.
