With the Internal Movements screen, you can retrieve all offender records from a particular housing/internal location, so you can move multiple offenders all at once. You can move the offenders to the same internal location, or by making changes in the Offender block, you can move offenders to different internal locations.
Use the following steps to move multiple offenders from the same housing/internal location, or to move a single offender to another internal location.
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Movements Internal Movements from the Main Menu.
The cursor automatically appears in the Movement Date field in the top block.
Fill in the top block.
Movement Date: defaults to the current date. Enter the date of the offender movement using a MM\DD\YYYY format. The date must be before, or the same as the current date.
Movement Time: defaults to the current time. Enter the time of the offender movement using an HH:MM format The time must be before, or the same as the current time.
Institution: select from a List of Values the institution where the moves are taking place. If there is only a single institution listed, then it automatically displays in this field.
For TAG to retrieve all offenders from the same housing/internal location, you must specify in this top block that you are moving all of the offenders at a From location together to a To location.
If you check the Confirm All Moves checkbox, and click the Retrieve button, then TAG lists the offenders in the Offenders block with a checked C[onfirm] box beside each offender record. If an offender is not moving to an internal location, or if he/she is moving to a different internal location, you can make these changes once the offender is retrieved and listed in the Offenders block (explained in the Offenders block step).
From Housing Location: select from a List of Values the housing location that the offenders are moving from. There is a field for each of the four housing levels (e.g. blocks, pods, cells, and beds). You can only select a From Housing Location if you do not select a From Internal Location.
From Internal Location: select from a List of Values the internal location that the offenders are moving from. You can only select a From Internal Location if you do not select a From Housing Location.
To Internal Location: select from a List of Values the internal location that the offenders are moving to. You select Return to Unit if you need to return the offender to his/her cell.
Remember, the retrieval function only works if you select a To Internal Location. Later, when the offenders are retrieved and listed in the Offender block, you can change the To location to move an individual offender to a different internal location.
Confirm All Move checkbox: defaults to unchecked. Check this box if all or most of the offenders will move. Then, when the offender records are retrieved and listed in the Offender block, the [C]onfirm checkbox beside each offender will be checked. (You can uncheck each [C]onfirm checkbox in the Offender block for each offender who will not be moving).
Retrieve button: click this button to retrieve a list of offenders that reside in the From Housing Location or Internal Location. This offender list automatically displays in the Offender block with the From Housing Location/From Internal Location, and the To Internal Location fields filled in. Also, the [C]onfirmed checkboxes are automatically checked or unchecked, according to whether you checked the Confirm All Move checkbox.
Click in the Offender block if you need to make changes.
If an offender won't be moving with the other offenders:
[C]onfirmed checkbox: uncheck the C checkbox.
If an offender is moving to a different location:
To: select from a List of Values the internal location you are moving the offender to.
Click Save.
