When you move multiple offenders from different housing/internal locations on the Internal Movements screen, you must enter each offender record individually.
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Movements Internal Movements.
The cursor automatically appears in the Movement Date field in the top block.
Fill in the Movement Date/Time and Institution fields in the top block. It is unnecessary to fill in the From Housing/Internal Location, and To Internal Location fields, because the offenders you are moving are from different housing/internal locations, and may be going to different internal locations. For these reasons, you will record each offender move individually in the Offender block.
Movement Date: defaults to the current date. Enter the date of the offender movement using a MM\DD\YYYY format. The date must be before, or the same as the current date.
Movement Time: defaults to the current time. Enter the time of the offender movement using a HH:MM format. The time must be before, or the same as the current time.
Institution: select from a List of Values the institution where the moves are taking place. If there is only a single institution listed, then it automatically displays in this field.
From Housing Location: leave this field blank to move offenders from different housing locations.
From Internal Location: leave this field blank to move offenders from different internal location.
To Internal Location: leave this field blank to move offenders to different internal locations.
Confirm All Move checkbox: defaults to unchecked; leave it this way.
Retrieve button: this function is not accessible when the To Internal Location field is blank.
In the Offender block, click in the offender Unique ID# field.
The [C]onfirm Move checkbox automatically checks.
In the offender Unique ID# field, you can either type in the active-in offender Unique ID#, or click the List of Values to query on an active-in offender Unique ID#.
If you know the offender's unique ID#, type it in, and press Enter on your keyboard. The offender's Last Name, First Name, Housing Location, and Internal Location (if any) automatically fill in.
If you need to query an offender's unique ID#, click on the List of Values in the Unique ID# field. The Caseload Name Search window displays in query mode.
Query in any of the fields to find the offender you need to move. (If you need more information on how to query an offender, click the link on the sub-topic listed below regarding active offender name search).
Select the offender you need to move.
Click Exit, and you are returned to the Change Housing Locations screen. The offender's Last Name, First Name, Housing Location, and Internal Location (if any) automatically fill in.
To: select from a List of Values the internal location that the offender is moving to.
Repeat steps 2 – 5 to record other offender moves.
Click Save.
