The Personal & Professional Contacts screen is one of many demographic screens used either when booking an offender into an institution, or when intaking an offender for community work. The Personal & Professional Contacts screen keeps a record of people associated with individual offenders.
Personal contacts are family and/or friends (for emergency contacts);
Professional contacts include lawyers, doctors, or other such specialists.
When you first go to this screen, all contact names for the offender are shown in the Contacts block. The screen shows the Last Name, First Name, Contact Type (emergency, professional) and Relationship (brother, lawyer) of each contact to the offender.
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institution Booking Person Contacts.
OR
Select Institution Case Management Person Contacts from the Main Menu.
To add a new contact name:
In the Contacts block, click a blank line.
Add the contact name.
Because every name entered on TAG is saved, the contact you wish to enter may already be listed (especially for people such as lawyers who may have regular dealings with offenders). You should therefore do a search on the contact name.
Fill in the contact’s Type and Relationship to this offender (List of Values available for both).
Click Save.
You may add as many contacts as necessary. Use the down arrow key to move the cursor to the next blank field and follow steps 3 to 5 to add further contacts to the offender’s record.
Click Next Block to access the next screen in the booking or intake sequence.
To remove a contact name from the offender’s file:
Highlight the appropriate name.
Click Delete Record.
Click Save.
Next Step:
learn about the Addresses screen.
