TAG provides a systematic approach for offender intake which involves determining if a prior record exists for the offender, re-activating that record if it exists, or creating a new one if the offender has had no previous contact with the agency.
The Central Case File module locates offender records and generates offender unique identifying ID numbers (the unique identifier for each offender remains with that person for life and cannot be re-used for another offender).
The Intake & Discharge module covers the process of activating an offender record (opening a case), completing the registration, and closing the case at discharge.
The process of activating an offender record and assigning work on that offender to various offices and/or officers involves four TAG modules:
Central Case File: to locate an offender record or, if no prior record exists, to create a new one.
Intake: to activate the offender record and record or update demographic information.
Orders & Requests: to record offender offenses, associated orders and requests, and other details.
Workload Management: to assign or transfer components of offender work to a primary officer, or multiple officers/offices.
