Checking Property Back In

When the offender returns to the facility from a temporary absence or court appearance with checked-out property, the Transact Property Items screen confirms that items temporarily checked out are returned. Checked-in items can be placed in previously existing (sealed or unsealed) containers or new containers, or placed in the offender’s cell.

On the Transact Property Items screen you can temporarily check out offender property for temporary absences or court appearances. This action changes the status of property items to OUT.

  1. To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Property Transact Property.

  2. If necessary, query in the Header block to locate the offender’s record.

  3. Click Next Block to access the Transaction Information block.

  4. In the Transaction Information block, complete the following fields:

  1. If only certain items are being taken, click Next Block to access the Item Information block. The cursor is in the Conf[irm] checkbox. Select this checkbox for each item to be taken by the offender.

  2. Click Save. TAG creates a transaction record and changes the status of each affected item. The items moved are no longer listed.

If you are moving items into a container with a seal attached, TAG automatically removes the seal.
