Step 3 in the booking process
After you have confirmed the ID#, you are ready to admit the offender into your institution. The detail you record during booking becomes the “core” of the offender record. You may be using up to fifteen more screens to enter this information:
Initial Admission (activate offender record—you cannot update an inactive offender record)
Opening a Trust Account (if you have the TAG trust accounting module)
Identification (key identifiers - height, weight, etc.)
Address (current and mailing addresses)
Aliases & Other Identifiers (all known aliases, other ID#s)
Physical Marks (identifying characteristics)
Personal/Professional Contacts (family and professional)
Family Details (marital status, family members)
Alerts (medical, security, transport)
Employment (history)
Languages (read, spoken and understood)
Health Problems (general description of the offender's health)
Substance Abuse (history of substance abuse and treatment)
Education (history)
Military Records (history of military service)
The booking screens are linked by a formpath, so you can move between screens without having to use the menu. Beginning with the Admission screen, you can proceed to the next screen in the booking sequence immediately after saving, by clicking Next Block. If you make any changes to a screen in the sequence, you must save those changes before you can leave the screen to continue the sequence.
Click on Next Block to move forward through the screens in the booking sequence
Click on Previous Block to move backward through the screens in the booking sequence
The booking sequence established on your system may not follow precisely the same order as that outlined here. Your TAG application administrator can set up a different automatic screen sequence according to user priority, or there may be fewer screens. If either case applies, the screens will still function as described here.
