The first screen in the booking sequence is Admission. You can reach this screen directly from the Assign Offender Number screen by clicking Next Block. Follow these steps to complete your booking.
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Booking Admission.
Query the Header block to locate the offender’s record.
From the Header block, click Next Block to access the Admission Details block.

New Booking?: automatically filled in by the system to indicate if this is a new booking instance. If this field has a check mark, you can override it by clicking in the field. (You would do this if an offender was released by mistake. You can readmit the offender without creating a new booking instance.)
Booking #: TAG generates a unique booking number when you save the screen.
Click Next Block to access the Bed Assignment block.
To assign the offender to a housing location, click on the List of Values next to the Location field. The names defined for the other levels of housing at your site appear.
The List of Values displays all available bed locations. Only one selection is necessary to fill in all the necessary fields, down to whatever level is defined for the particular location. To make your selection, click on the location you want and click OK.
The List of Values displays in blue text all bed locations that are restricted due to offender non-association or offender classification. If you select one of these locations, TAG will alert you that a non-association or classification linkage exists, and will ask you if you want to proceed.
In large institutions, a long List of Values is needed to show all available housing locations. If you know the general area to which the offender will be assigned, you can query on that specific location, so that beds in that location only display on the screen. To select from a specific location, query, type in the location, and query again. The specific bed location(s) you choose are displayed.
Click Save. The offender’s status in the Header block changes to Active/In.
If you have a formpath through the booking sequence, click on Next Block to advance to the next screen in the sequence.
