Officer Case Note Inquiry

The Officer Case Notes Inquiry screen collects all case notes created within the past 72 hours on offenders assigned to the selected staff member. Officers can begin their work day by calling up this screen and checking to see which, if any, of the offenders on their caseload have come to the attention of the authorities.

The screen is primarily intended for use with case notes generated automatically when some other event is recorded - a new arrest or the failure of a substance test, for example. However, case notes written by other officers and added to an offender's record will also be displayed.

  1. To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Community Officer Case Note Inquiry.

The Staff Member field defaults to you, that is, the User ID currently logged on. You can only view case notes for the offenders assigned to you.

  2. The Date Range fields default to the past 72 hours. You can change them to any other two dates, provided neither of them is a future date and the second date is not earlier than the first.

The Case Notes block displays all case notes for offenders in your caseload during the specified time period, in chronological order, most recent first.

  3. Select a record in the Case Notes block. Checks appear in any relevant checkboxes in the Case Note Contents block. The text box below the checkboxes displays the case note text.

  4. Click Exit to leave the screen. If the next screen you open has a standard header, the currently selected offender name will be carried over.
