Amending a Community Case Note

Use the Case Notes screen to amend an existing case note. After a case note has been saved, you can amend a case note only:

The original text remains, and the amendment has its own date/time stamp.

  1. If necessary, query in the Header block to locate the offender.

  2. Click Next Block to access the Case Note Chronology block.

    To locate a specific case note, you can query on date, type, sub-type, or staff member.

  3. To view the text for a particular case note, click the case note in the Case Note Chronology block The case note text appears in the text field in the Case Note Contents block.

  4. To amend the selected case note, click A[mendment]. The Amend Case Note window appears.

  5. Type in additional text for the case note, and click OK. You are returned to the Case Notes screen. Your amendment appears in the Case Note Contents block following the original text, with a date/time stamp in brackets.

    In addition, TAG automatically selects the A[mendment] box.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Repeat steps 3 - 7 to make additional amendments to the same or other case notes.
