Your supervisor will assign you a username and password to log on to TAG. Once you're ready to log on, there are two steps involved in starting TAG:
you must log on to the computer holding your TAG caseload (your terminal)
you must log on to TAG itself
Because computer configurations vary widely, every site has a different way of logging onto the computer—see your system administrator or supervisor for assistance and instructions for logging onto your computer.
Once you have logged on to your computer, you should see a screen called the Windows Program Manager. (It may simply be a blue backdrop, or a design customized for your site.) This is where you start up any program on your PC. There should be an icon for every available program, including TAG:
To start TAG, double-click on the TAG icon. This Logon box appears:
Type your Username in the Username field.
Type your Password in the Password field.
Type in the Database specified by your system administrator in the Database field.
Click on the Connect button. You should now see the TAG Main Menu.
Whatever screen you are on, click on the Exit button in the toolbar to leave the screen. This takes you back to the Main Menu.
On the Main Menu, select Exit. This returns you to the Program Manager. You are now logged off of TAG.
