Fields in TAG are slots that can hold exactly one piece of information. Fields include a name that describes the piece of information they can hold. Field names may be found either above a column of fields, or beside a single field. In the example below, the Non-Association block has fields called DOC#, Last Name, First Name, Location, and Active. The Non-Association Details block has fields called Type, Effective Date, Authorized By, Comment, Reason, and Expiry Date.
TAG uses two different types of fields: textbox fields, where you type or read information, and checkbox fields, which are checked if they are true. In the example above, the Active field would be checked if the non-association was active.
The order of the day, month, and year in a date varies for each TAG client. The order (date format) that the client chooses is used throughout the client's documentation, so is the client's standard date format. In this documentation, the standard date format is month/day/year (MM/DD/YYYY). Ask your TAG administrator what standard date format your facility uses, and type in that format when you enter a date.
