Use the Offender Non-Association screen when you want to keep offenders separate from one another. You can enter non-association information on any offender in the database, regardless of caseload or offender status (you can add non-association information to active or inactive offenders). Once a non-association is defined, TAG will search the database whenever you attempt to assign a new housing location to this offender, and will alert you if it finds a housing conflict. Housing restrictions for non-association are defined on the Maintain Housing Restrictions screen.
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institution Case Management Non Association.
If necessary, query in the Header block to locate the offender record. Click Next Block to access the Non-Association block.
For every offender you want to keep separate from the offender selected in the header block, enter a Unique ID# (List of Values available) on the Non-Association block. The system will automatically enter the offender selected in the header block into the record of the offender you enter here, creating a reciprocal non-association.
In Non-Association Details block, complete the following fields:
Type: (List of Values). select the type of non-association. Different non-association types may have different housing restrictions applied to them. For example, you might have two non-association types defined to allow for separation by cell block or by building wing, depending on the seriousness of the restriction.
Reason: (List of Values) select the reason for non-association.
Effective Date: defaults to the current date. Enter the effective date for the non-association using a MM\DD\YYYY format (mandatory).
Expiry Date: enter an expiry date for the non-association using a MM\DD\YYYY format (optional).
Authorized By: enter your name.
Comment: describe the non-association in more detail.
Every entry in the Non-Association block, has a corresponding active entry in the Non-Association Details block. The status in the Non-association block will be set to “Active” once the detail block is completed and saved.
Click Save.
To change the non-association details:
Expiry Date: enter today’s date for the non-association you want to change and click Save.
Click Insert.
Complete the Non-Association Details block with the updated non-association information (steps 4 and 5).
To remove a non-association:
Expiry Date: enter today’s date for the non-association you want to remove.
Click Save.
