Step 3 in Receiving Offender Property.
You use the Transact Property Items screen to store the property items in the offender’s cell or assigned container(s). To be precise, the screen changes the status of the item:
Placing registered items in a container changes the item status from REGISTERED to STORED
Placing registered items in an offender’s cell changes the item status from REGISTERED to CELL
To move items:
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Property Transact Property .
If necessary, query in the Header block to locate the offender’s record.
Click Next Block to access the Transaction Information block.
Complete these fields in the Transaction Information block:
From Status: (List of Values available) select REGISTERED. All offender items currently registered appear in the Item Information block.
To Status: (List of Values available) select STORED if you want to move items into a container, CELL if you want to move items into an offender cell
Container: (List of Values available) mandatory if you selected STORED as your To Status. Select the Container you want to store the items in. If you selected CELL, you will not be able to edit this field.
Confirm All Items: defaults to no. If all items listed are to be moved to this container, check this checkbox and go to step 6. If only certain items are being moved, go to step 5.
Comment: optional free-form text entry
If only certain items are being moved, click Next Block to access the Item Information block. The cursor is in the Conf[irm] checkbox. Check this checkbox for each item to be moved to this container or cell.
Click Save. TAG creates a transaction record and changes the status of each affected item. The items moved are no longer listed.
If you are moving items into a container with a seal attached, TAG automatically removes the seal.
