Transferring In Property Containers

Step 1 in Receiving Transferred Property Containers.

When offenders are transferred between institutions within your jurisdiction, their property containers can be transferred with them. The Receive Transferred Containers screen records the receipt of this property, either in sealed containers or with confirmation of each individual item. You can update this screen while the offender is inactive, or active at another agency location.

So that you are aware of incoming property shipments you should be expecting, the Receive Transferred Containers screen automatically queries to show all containers transferred to your location. You can also query on container ID, offender ID# or From Agency.

When containers arrive, the same screen receives those containers into your property room’s TR (“Transaction Area”) location, after which you would move them to the offender’s cell, place in a designated storage location, or move them into new containers.

  1. To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Property Receive transferred containers.

  2. The screen shows the container Id, Type and Seal Mark, the offender’s Unique ID#, Last Name, and location transferred From.

If the offender is not being transferred in with the property, the P[roperty] O[nly] checkbox will be checked.

  1. For each container or item being transferred in, place a check in the Conf[irm] field.

  2. Click Save. TAG changes the status of all items within the container from TRANSIT to STORED. The container is registered as being located in the Property Storage Location identified as “TR” (Transaction Area).
