Moving Offenders From The Same Housing Location

With the Change Housing Locations screen, you can retrieve all offender records from a particular housing location, so you can move multiple offenders all at once. You can move multiple offenders to another housing location shared by all of them, or to a different housing location for each individual offender.

Use the following steps to move multiple offenders from the same housing location, or to move a single offender to another housing location.

  1. To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Movements Multiple Housing Changes.

The cursor automatically appears in the Date field in the Detail block.

  2. Fill in the Detail block.

For TAG to retrieve all offenders from the same housing location, you must specify in this Details block the From location where the offenders reside.

If you check the Confirm All Moves checkbox, and click the Retrieve button, then TAG lists the offenders in the Movement block with a checked C[onfirm] box beside each offender record. If an offender is not moving to an internal location, or if he/she is moving to a different internal location, you can make these changes once the offender is retrieved and listed in the Movement block (explained in the Movement block section).

The next field is the To Housing Location, the place you need to move the offenders.

You can select a housing location from a List of Values, or leave this field blank, according to your situation. If you need to move multiple offenders to the same housing location, ensure that you have a housing location with enough vacancies for them all (e.g. a holding area). If your facility has only bed locations on the List of Values, you must leave this To Housing Location field blank, and assign each offender a bed in the To field of the Movement block. You must also leave this field blank if most of the offenders are each moving to a different housing location. Then, in the Movement block you can fill in each offender's To location.

If most of the offenders are moving to the same location, then select the To location. Later, for the few offenders who are not moving, or moving elsewhere, you can make these changes in the Movement block.

Leave this field blank if you need to assign each offender individually to a housing location.

Leave this field blank if you need to assign each offender individually to a housing location; there can be a different reason for each offender being moved. Otherwise, keep the default "Operational Requirements."

  1. Click in the Movement block if you need to make changes.

[C]onfirmed checkbox: uncheck the [C] checkbox.

To: select from a List of Values the location you are moving the offender to.

Reason: select from a List of Values the reason for the move.

  1. Click Save.
