This help topic covers all movement of offenders within your facility. TAG is normally used to record two types of internal offender movements:
Housing location changes: you can move offenders to another housing location or switch the housing locations of two offenders.
Internal appointments: you can schedule offender movements for education or work programs, medical or dental appointments, or hearings.
It is possible to record other types of internal movements, but because of the amount of data entry involved, most sites opt to limit the use of the system to these two key movement types.
The TAG Schedules menu contains event-scheduling screens that enter detailed schedule records for individual offenders. Offender schedules can be managed for coordinated and non-conflicting movements, both inside and outside the institution.
