Offender Profile Inquiry

The Offender Profile Inquiry screen shows the statistics of offenders with certain characteristics (profiles) such as hair or eye color. These profiles are defined in the TAG system by profile codes and profile types. Offender profile codes describe offender profile types. For example, "brown" is a profile code that describes "hair color," a profile type.

When a profile type is selected, and the Selection block is queried, the Statistics block automatically displays the offender statistics for the selected profile type, displaying one record for each profile code. In this example, the Statistics block shows these statistics of "brown-haired" offenders:

The Profile Inquiry screen only displays statistics for offenders with an "active" status. Profile types, profile codes, and statistic categories are user-defined, so may vary from this documentation.

  1. To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Inquiries Profile Inquiry.

The cursor automatically appears in the Location field in the Selection block.

Leave this field blank if you want the statistics for all of the active offenders at all agency locations in your caseload.

Leave this field blank if you want the statistics for all of the codes that describe the selected profile type. When you leave this field blank and click query, all of the profile codes that describe the selected profile type automatically display in the Description fields in the Statistics block.

  1. After you complete the Selection block, click query in any of its fields. The Statistics block automatically fills in. The Statistics block holds multiple records so use the scrollbar to view them all.
