Once an offence in custody has been recorded, the offender is formally notified of the internal charge, and a hearing is scheduled on the OIC Notice Of Hearing screen.
To access this screen from the Main Menu, select Institutions Incidents Offender Violhation OIC Notice.
If necessary, query in the Header block to locate the offender record.
Click Next Block to access the Incidents block, which automatically shows the offender's most recent offence in custody.
The cursor appears in the Sign Off Date field. If necessary, use the arrow keys to locate the incident for which a hearing is being scheduled. (If there is only one offence, it will be at the top of the list, so you won't have to select with the arrow keys.)
Complete these fields:
Sign Off Date/Time: record the date that the incident report was signed off using a MM\DD\YYYY format.;
Status: defaults to Active. To change it, select from the List of Values; optional.
Supervisor ID: select the supervising officer from the List of Values; optional.
Delivery [Date]/Time: record the date that the incident report was delivered to the offender for signature; optional. Use standard date format.
Waive Preparation checkbox: check this box if the offender waives preparation of the report; optional.
Refuse to Sign checkbox: check this box if the offender refuses to sign the report; optional.
Waive Hearing checkbox: check this box if the offender waives an incident hearing; optional.
Delivered by: select the name of the officer delivering the report from the List of Values; optional.
Click Next Block to access the Schedule Hearing block.
Complete these fields to schedule a hearing:
Date/Time: type in the date (standard date format) and the time (HH:MM) the hearing is scheduled for.
Reason: select the reason for the hearing from the List of Values; mandatory.
Comment: add a comment; optional.
Click Save. TAG creates an internal schedule record for all hearings scheduled here. An incident can be dealt with at multiple hearings.
