The TAG Image Display System is a companion module to TAG Imaging that can compile and display lists of offenders. As the name suggests, the most prominent feature of IDS is its ability to electronically assemble offender images for presentation in a 'line-up' format for purposes of witness identification. (Most commonly these records include offender images, but you don't need images to keep offender lists.) IDS is tied to the TAG database and can be integrated with other justice software applications to link all existing information on offenders.
IDS' search capability has been made as flexible and powerful as possible, so you can select offender images according to any criteria or combination of parameters. You also have control over the appearance of the screen: the size and number of images, and the types of data to be displayed. Witnesses or officers can view and scroll through displayed images using only a mouse.
You may have several different reasons for keeping and maintaining offender lists. For instance, you may be saving files of lineups on which certain witnesses identified suspects, or keeping rosters of known gang members. Your offender lists are stored in files with an unlimited capacity for images. When you are assembling a lineup, you create a new file in which to store your new list, which you may save or delete as desired. You can keep track of the date and time a file was created, and enter a precise description of its contents.
