You can close a legal case by recording an order that your TAG administrator has set up to close a legal case. To do this, first select the case on the Legal Cases screen that you wish to close, and from there go to the Orders screen to record the order. Check with your TAG administrator to determine which orders close a case, according to your business practices.
When you close a legal case by recording a legal order that has been set up to close a case, then all of the orders/conditions attached to that legal case are automatically "discharged," and the case status becomes Inactive (Case Closed).
Once a legal case is Inactive (Case Closed), you cannot update any of the offenses, orders, or requests attached to that case, or update any existing case events. Nor can you create any new offenses, orders, or requests for the inactive case.
